Celestial Bodies: Sculpture by Karen LaMonte

This major retrospective will feature 60 sculptures, many never shown publicly before. In addition to focusing on familiar bodies of work - like the Nocturnes dresses and Floating World kimonos - the exhibition includes new cloud sculptures, historic works on paper, and early bas-relief draperies not seen in nearly two decades.

The Munson Museum is a gem. Its purpose-built Philip Johnson building houses a collection filled with surprising and important works of 19th-century American art.​
