Glass: Art Beauty Design
A wonderful transhistorical exhibition that brought together contemporary art, fashion and historical objects in Glass: Art. Beauty. Design.
Featuring artworks by Karen LaMonte, Joyce Scott, Fred Wilson, Tim Tate, Beth Lipman, and Debora Moore, and spectacular objects like monumental Baccarat candelabras, which have not been on view since the 1930s.
In addition to a life-size Nocturne in the main exhibition space, four Etudes were installed throughout the mansion in period rooms, contextualizing them in a fascinating new light.
